Koji Sasayama
Representative Director
In December 2006, Mr. Sasayama assumed the post of Representative Director of MCo. As chairman of the investment committee, he is involved in investment review and decision-making for all MCo deals. In addition to sourcing deals by leveraging diverse relationships, he is also involved in fundraising and investor relations, overseeing the overall management of MCo.
Prior to joining MCo, he was engaged in M&A finance-related businesses for over 10 years at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (current SBI Shinsei Bank, Limited), the Industrial Bank of Japan, and Mizuho Corporate Bank (current Mizuho Bank, Ltd.) As a pioneer in M&A finance in Japan, he has arranged many one-stop deals, including sourcing, structuring and syndication.
Mr. Sasayama earned his BA in Economics at Keio University; he earned his MBA at Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University

Osamu Matsuno
Managing Director
Mr. Matsuno joined MCo in October 2007. Responsible for executing many investments. He has been successful in executing a wide range of deals, from mezzanine financing for PE funds in their leveraged buyouts to MBOs (100% acquisition by management). As a member of the investment committee since 2011, he has been contributing to making investment decisions for all MCo deals. He also leads investor relations and fundraising as a team leader.
Prior to joining MCo, he worked at Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (Current Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.), where he was engaged in alternative investment operations, including mezzanine investment and leveraged buyout finance, after assuming positions in insurance sales and planning & developing new businesses in the asset management department.
Mr. Matsuno earned his BA in Economics at The University of Tokyo; he earned his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

Hiroshi Murao
Managing Director & CFO
Mr. Murao joined MCo in July 2020. In addition to being in charge of fund-raising and investor relations, he is involved in overall MCo operations as CFO.
Prior to joining MCo, he spent 15 years at Mizuho Bank, Ltd. engaging in acquisition finance, such as LBO/MBO, and fund LP investment operations. From 2015 to 2020, as General Manager of the Acquisition Finance Department, he supported the growth of the M&A and buyout markets in Japan both in terms of finance and investment, and contributed to enhancing the corporate value of clients.
Mr. Murao earned his LLB at The University of Tokyo; he earned his LLM at New York University School of Law
He is a licensed attorney of the State of New York, U.S.A.
Takao Nagata
Executive Director
Mr. Nagata joined MCo in April 2007. He is responsible for executing many investment deals. He is focusing on credit analysis as well as deal origination activities. As a member of the investment committee since 2015, he has been contributing to making investment decisions for all MCo deals.
Prior to joining MCo, he worked at several strategic consulting firms, specializing in business strategy formulation and implementation. While at Arthur D. Little, he experienced a number of business due diligence projects around corporate M&A activities. During his tenure at a venture capital firm, he was seconded to a start-up portfolio company in the telecommunications industry, where he helped launch and boost the business.
Mr. Nagata earned his BS in Engineering at The University of Tokyo.
Mr. Nagata completed the Authorized Family Business Advisor Program of The Family Business Advisors Association (FBAA)
Atsushi Jinno
Executive Director
Mr. Jinno joined MCo in December 2019. He is responsible for deal sourcing and executing investment deals. As a member of the investment committee since July 2020, he has been contributing to making investment decisions for all MCo deals.
Prior to joining MCo, he spent 17 years at MUFG Bank, Ltd., engaging in LBO finance operation. From the early days of LBO, he supported the development of the industry as a senior lender, arranging financing for all types of deals, including large-scale carve-out deals, business succession deals, and MBOs (100% acquisition by management).
Mr. Jinno earned his BA in Economics at Keio University.
Ryoto Fukui
Executive Director
Mr. Fukui joined MCo in January 2010. In addition to handling mezzanine financing for PE funds in their leveraged buyouts, he is involved in executing investments for a wide variety of deals such as leveraged buyouts by companies, business succession, restructuring of shareholder composition, and restructuring of balance sheets. As a member of the investment committee since April 2021, he has been contributing to making investment decisions for all MCo deals.
Prior to joining MCo, he was engaged in corporate sales at Shinsei Bank’s (current SBI Shinsei Bank, Limited) Head Office and Fukuoka Branch.
Mr. Fukui earned his LLB at The University of Tokyo.
Mr. Fukui is a Certified Member Analyst (CMA) of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
Takanao Kanda
Manager
Mr. Kanda first joined MCo in December 2018. He is involved in originating deals, credit analysis, execution and monitoring.
He served as a CFO / Executive Officer at a start-up where he was engaged in budget and business planning, annual books close and audit process management, fundraising, after which he returned to MCo. Prior to that, he worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), engaging in investment in governments, companies, and projects in developing countries, and for Daiwa Securities SMBC where he was engaged in underwriting bonds.
Mr. Kanda earned his BA in Business Administration at Kwansei Gakuin University; he earned his MSc in Development Finance at Reading University.
Mr. Kanda is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and Certified Member Analyst (CMA) of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
Yoshikazu Murata
Manager
Mr. Murata joined MCo in January 2019. He is involved in originating deals, credit analysis, execution and monitoring.
Prior to joining MCo, he worked for MUFG Bank, Ltd., engaging in sales for medium-sized and small-and-medium-sized companies and corporate financing operation for large companies.
Mr. Murata earned his BA in Commerce at Waseda University.
Mr. Murata earned his MBA in Finance at Waseda University.
Kosuke Kato
Manager
Mr. Kato joined MCo in April 2019. He is involved in originating deals, credit analysis, execution and monitoring.
Prior to joining the MCo, he was engaged in air traffic control services at the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Prior to that, he was engaged in corporate bond underwriting and rating advisory operations at the Investment Banking Division of Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd.
Mr. Kato earned his BA in Economics at Hitotsubashi University.
Yuya Kobayasyi
Analyst
Mr. Kobayashi joined MCo in October 2022. He is involved in originating deals, credit analysis, execution and monitoring.
Prior to joining MCo, he worked for MUFG Bank, Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co.,Ltd. , engaging in sales for small or medium-sized companies and fixed-income sales for institutional investors.
Mr. Kobayashi earned his BA in Commerce at Hitotsubashi University.
Kentaro Ogawa
Analyst
Mr. Ogawa joined MCo in January 2024. He is involved in originating deals, credit analysis, execution and monitoring.
Prior to joining MCo, he was engaged in portfolio management and stewardship / engagement activities as a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst at Japanese Equity / Responsible Investment Department of Meiji Yasuda Asset Management.
Mr. Ogawa earned his BA in Business and Commerce at Keio University.
Mr. Ogawa is a Certified Member Analyst (CMA) of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
